Anton Nesterko and Dariya Maryuschenko from Ukraine placed 1st in the Amateur Rising Star Latin at the UK Open DanceSport Championships on January 17, 2012, in Bournemouth, England.

The Rising Star Latin competition had over 100 couples in all but it was Anton and Dariya from Ukraine that brought home this coveted title. Winning the UK Open marks as being one of the best dancers in the world and now Anton and Dariya are the ones to beat in the Rising Star Latin category.

A day later after winning the RS Latin division, Anton and Dariya placed in the Top 14 in the Adult Amateur Latin category on January 18, 2012 at the UK Open 2012. If the records are correct at Dancesport Info, they started dancing together in August of 2011, about six months ago, making this win even more spectacular. Congatulations Anton and Dariya for this remarkable win!
