Justinas Duknauskas and Anna Melnikova-Duknauske from Lithuania made it to the semi finals in the Professional Latin Competition at the UK Open Dance Championships, January 19, 2012, in Bournemouth, England.

Justinas and Anna dance against 177 other couples and honorably made it to the semi finals. Making as far as they did at the UK Open is a great achievement and a coveted spot for dancers around the world as well.

Justinas and Anna just started dancing together in February of 2011 and have been doing great. They competed eight times in 2011, and the UK Open makes it their first competition in 2012 so far. Their best score on record is placing 1st in the WDC World South American Showdance on December 17, 2011, in Kazan, Russia.

After Justinas and his prior partner Ekaterina Lapaeva split on October of 2010, he was in search for a new partner. It was pure luck that Anna split with Slavik Kryklyvyy in the same month – October of 2010. Anna and Slavik were filmed while they were together and it was made into a documentary called the Ballroom Dancer.
